Giverny - July 2008
Giverny was home to Claude Monet. It is in the gardens here that he painted his famous Waterlilies. The village lies 80km (50 miles) from Paris, west and slightly north, on the border between the province of Normandy and the Île-de-France region.

Amsterdam - April 2008
We visited the Netherlands in April. Holland is a region, not a country. Amsterdam was beautiful, clean, and full of bicycles. We really enjoyed visiting the Anne Frank house and the Van Gogh museum. We also rode out to see the world famous tulip gardens and the windmills. Overall a great place to visit!

Switzerland - March 2008
We went to Switzerland in March 2008. We had a great time. The scenery was so majestic. Switzerland is a beautiful mostly natural country with scattered small villages throughout the Alps. Switzerland was VERY expensive. A large pizza at dominos was equivalent to 50 US Dollars and that was not even including drinks. They speak a version of German in Switzerland.
There are two albums. One is the Glacier express which is a train we rode between St Moritz and Zermatt. Keep in mind that we were on a moving train so not all the pictures are clear and focused.
The second album is the Matterhorn which is above the little ski town of Zermatt. No cars are allowed in Zermatt, only golf carts or horse carriages. After seeing the ski slopes in Zermatt we do not ever want to ski anywhere else again!
Click on the link below to view the album.

Enjoy!
